FILE- Redmond Rallies was the 2022 winner of the Thrive Award. The effort was a collaboration between the Redmond Chamber and the city of Redmond to support ailing businesses affected by the COVID‐19 pandemic.

Redmond Economic Development, Inc. is calling for nominations for its annual Thrive Award.

Launched in 2021, the award aims to recognize and reward significant initiatives, programs, projects, or partnerships that have successfully implemented and transformed the landscape and supported economic development in Redmond.

Criteria for the award include: economic and community impact, innovation and originality, achievement and results, community relationships as well as relevance and transferability.

Last year’s winner was the Redmond Executive Association’s (REA) Annual Crab Crack. For more than seven years, REA has hosted this annual all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab feast. This signature fundraising event brought the community together to enjoy 3,200 pounds of fresh crab, live music, and neighborhood fun. All proceeds from the annual event support local high school and college youth workforce programs, pairing students with local businesses to provide hands-on, real-life experience crucial for success.

Applications and further information about the Thrive Award can be found at www.rediinfo.com/thrive-award. All nominations are due by 5 p.m. on June 3. The winner will be announced at the 11th Annual Made in Redmond Tour in June.
