Kiwanis Vintner’s Dinner raises $69,000

The 18th annual Redmond Kiwanis Vintner’s Dinner and Auction, drew record attendance and record proceeds as the numbers have been calculated and analyzed.

The celebration of good food, good wine and community service raised $35,000 for Kiwanis youth projects and an additional $34,000 for the proposed natural playground adjacent to the new Redmond Area Parks and Recreation pool and recreation center for which ground was recently broken.

Two hundred wine aficionados attended the sell-out, five-course wine-paired dinner on May 17 at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Waterbrook Winery of Walla Walla, Washington, presented the wines.

Next year the event is scheduled on Friday, May 16. Maryhill Winery from Goldendale, Washington, will be the presenting winery.
