Friends and Neighbors of the Deschutes Canyon Area invite the public for a visual tour of the Middle Deschutes and Lower Crooked River canyons through the eyes of landscape photographer Tom Iraci.

This Lens on Learning program will feature Iraci’s photos and videos, as well as insights on capturing the area’s natural beauty through photography.

The event, titled “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words” is set for June 22 from 3-5 p.m. in the Juniper Room at Crooked River Ranch, 5195 SW Clubhouse Road.

For Crooked River Ranch residents, the public land surrounding the area can be awe-inspiring. The program can showcase new locations for old-time residents and new ones alike. The program is also geared to both budding photographers, as well as those who enjoy great landscape photography.

Tom Iraci photographed the wonders of nature taken from trails around Crooked River Ranch. The program will feature his photos, as well several videos he has created for FANs.

Iraci has had a long career as professional photographer and has been practicing landscape photography for more than 50 years, including 30 years with the U.S. Forest Service as an audio/visual production specialist.

He and his wife, Barbara Kennedy, are longtime residents of Crooked River Ranch. FANs past board member Mona Steinberg will also be on hand to provide information about the trail system.

Presented by non-profit organization Friends and Neighbors of the Deschutes Canyon Area, Lens on Learning programs are posted on Eventbrite and registration is required. Attendance is free for FANs members. A $5 donation is requested for non-members.
