Redmond Kiwanis awards $32,500 in scholarships

The scholarship committees of the Redmond Kiwanis Club have awarded $32,500 in college scholarships to 18 graduating seniors from five local high schools. Redmond High School students dominated the field of applicants and awards this year.

Of the total amount, only $2,500 came from Kiwanis club funds. The other $30,000 came from member contributions and self-generating funds started years ago.
Redmond High students receiving awards are Julian Bremont, Reed Bunting, Brynn Capps, Carson Castrow, Yudith Gradilla, Kore Medina, McKenzi Stecher-Reed, Ariana Santos and Grace Stott.
At Ridgeview receiving scholarships are Bailee Hansen, Lucy Stancliff, Grace Von Seggern and Evona West.

Noah Eisbach and Gabriella Herring are the Redmond Proficiency Academy graduates who received Kiwanis awards.
Chloe Keller and Linh Vu of Trinity High School were recipients, as was Kailee Macy of Culver High School.
Established in 1937, the Kiwanis Club of Redmond has been awarding scholarships for nearly four decades.
