- Little Bug Play Hub celebrates their first year in business Sept. 6 in downtown Redmond.
After nearly a year of business, Little Bug Play Hub hosted a ribbon cutting event Sept. 6 to celebrate past accomplishments before heading into the new season.
The event took place with play hub owner Cortney Fallapino’s family and Redmond Chamber of Commerce members.
The play hub opened last November, according to Jessie Lutz, Little Bug Play Hub instructor, and the ribbon cutting signified a successful first year. She said it was a celebration more than anything else, but also a good way to get the word out about the downtown business.
“This new play space is more than just a fun destination — it’s a hub for early childhood development, providing a safe and stimulating environment where kids can learn through play,” Lutz said.
The business offers specialized programs, open play sessions, music and movement classes, birthday parties, themed drop-off events and more.
There are new things in store, too, including more family events for kids and their loved ones to engage in.
“We’re trying to get more families here downtown,” Lutz said.
Lutz mentioned some family events include a visit from the Reptile Zone on Sept. 29 and a First Friday Kids Art event the first Friday of every month.
