Letter: Landlord thanked for generosity

My name is Branegan Dixon, owner of the Redmond Athletic Club (RAC).
During these challenging times, many people have suffered tremendous hardships. Some landlords have increased their rent during a time when they were without income due to Covid-19. I am blessed to share that that has not been my experience.
I have owned the RAC 5 years. I lease the building from Steve Spencer of Spencer Property Holdings. Around my 5th month in business, I had a lease payment bounce. I asked Mr. Spencer if I could skip a month rent and add it to the end of my lease. He agreed.
Ten months later, Mr. Spencer told me he appreciated my consistency in paying rent on time and said that he would completely forgive my other debt. I was blown away by his generosity!
Fast forward to March 2020 and start of COVID-19 here in the US. I was deemed a non-essential business and was mandated to shut my business down.
Immediately, Mr. Spencer contacted me and offered to do whatever he could to help me get through. He lowered my monthly payments to nearly nothing for April and May, helping me save my business! If not for Mr. Spencer, I do not know if I would have been able to reopen my doors. I am forever grateful to have a landlord such as Mr. Spencer!
With tremendous gratitude,
Branegan Dixon, Redmond
