May 1, 1924 — Mayor Hosch calls upon citizens to help beautify

That next week is going to be a busy time in Redmond is assured. It will be the occasion of cleaning up all the premises possible to get clean in that time. The cause of good health, minimizing fire hazard and improvement of the town’s appearance will be greatly advanced.

Of course many of Redmond’s citizens do not allow the accumulation of trash or filth on their own premises at any time. To these people the clean-up campaign will only mean bringing the whole town up to their standards. To others in town it. will mean that what they have planned on doing for some time and which has been put off on account of other things will be done next week.

And to a few, possibly, the clean-up campaign will not mean what it should and they may refuse to be enthused sufficiently to act. It is the sincere hope of the committees in charge that there will be a very few of the latter kind.
