Hannah Lull has joined the Redmond Spokesman as a summer reporting intern.

Lull joined the paper through the Charles Snowden Program of Excellence in Journalism. She recently graduated magna cum laude from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing and a minor in applied journalism.

“I’m so grateful for the Snowden program to let me have the opportunity to work outside of a college newsroom and learn real-life journalism skills,” said Lull.

Lull has had three years of journalism experience working at Orange Media Network as a writer for The Daily Barometer and Beaver’s Digest. She was also the copy editor for The Barometer for the 2023-2024 school year.

She has had additional mentorship with freelance environmental writer Ben Goldfarb and former editor-in-chief of National Geographic Chris Johns.

Lull hopes to continue building her career in reporting with hopes to become an environmental journalist one day.
