Philip Lee Gerhart, 38, of Redmond, OR passed away on January 14, 2024. Phil was the husband of Veronica (Anderson) and father of Russell Lee. He is also survived by his parents, Rick and Sally Gerhart, Lake Oswego, sister Beth Benner, Portland, brother Brian Gerhart (Ada Guerin) Olympia, WA, nieces and nephews: Maddie Gerhart, Barrett, Brady and Rowan Benner. Phil and Ronnie were classmates since elementary school and reconnected as adults. Phil had a big heart. He worked in the security field and loved helping people who needed a little support; listening to Veterans tell their stories or guiding lost bus riders back home. He loved some of life’s simple pleasures, like playing cars with his son, throwing a ball for his dog Ruby and fishing in a quiet pond. An avid sports fan, Phil could often be found cheering on the 49ers, Phillies, and Oregon State. Uncle Phil had a soft spot for his nieces and nephews; he loved watching his nephews’ games and playing with his nieces. A memorial service is being planned.
