Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue has welcomed a new structural fire engine for the first time in the organization’s history.

The new engine arrived at the station last week and has since been outfitted with equipment and readied to enter service in Crooked River Ranch.

The public is invited to help “push” the new engine into its station bay — a tradition dating back hundreds of years. Firefighters and community members push the new engine into the station, symbolizing unity between the community and the fire department. Community members of all ages are invited to participate.

The new engine was officially pushed in at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 31.
