Busy holiday season expected at Redmond Airport

Redmond Airport anticipates a busy holiday travel season from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. With increased passenger volume, travelers should expect busier-than-usual terminal activity and are advised to allow extra time for parking, checking in, and clearing security.

“We strongly recommend passengers arrive at least two hours before their flight to allow time for checking luggage and clearing security, especially for early morning flights between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m.,” said airport director Zachary Bass in a press release.

The airport offers free parking for the first 30 minutes, then charges $1 for the next 30 minutes, and $2 for each additional hour, with a maximum daily cost of $24. Cash, credit, and debit cards are accepted. To “know before you go,” travelers are encouraged to check www.flyrdm.com where parking updates will be refreshed every 30 minutes and displayed on the message scroll at the top of the page.

There is one new parking option. A new credit card-only parking lot is available on the southwest side of the airport near the main entrance. To park there, take the first lot entrance on the right.

A cell phone waiting area for those picking up passengers is located across from the airport on Salmon Avenue.

Due to federal regulations, the terminal curb is for active loading and unloading only—no parking or waiting is permitted. Parking citations are $50.
