Women’s club donates $10,000 to local domestic violence causes

- The Redmond chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs donated $5,000 each to Saving Grace and Voices Against Trafficking. Both support survivors of intimate partner violence. The money was raised during the GFWC's largest fundraiser of the year, held April 13 in Redmond.
The Redmond chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs hosted its largest fundraiser on the year on April 13.
The “Wine, Women and Purses … and Toys for Boys Too” event brought a standing room-only crowd to the High Desert Music Hall. An auction at the even raised roughly $10,000, which the GWFC on May 8 passed on to two local nonprofits fighting domestic violence.
Saving Grace and Voices Against Trafficking both received $5,000. Each nonprofit supports survivors of intimate partner violence.
