UPDATED: Police connect with owner of Great Dane that killed dog at fairgrounds

- Police want to speak with the driver of this SUV, who may own four Great Danes, one of which may have killed a pomeranian May 6 in Redmond.
MAY 8 UPDATE: Redmond police say that they have spoken to the owner of a Great Dane who allegedly killed another dog at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center on May 6.
According to police, “the dog owner initiated contact with the Redmond Police Department and is of no further interest at this time.”

Redmond police are looking for the owner of a dog that attacked and killed another dog May 6 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond.
According to police, a Great Dane attacked a smaller pomeranian at the fairgrounds. The owner of the victim rushed it to a nearby veterinary clinic, where the dog died.
In the commotion, the dog owners did not exchange contact information.
The owner of the Great Dane had three others of the same breed.
The Redmond Police Department shared a photograph of a white SUV, the driver of which appears to be the owner of the Great Danes.

As a reminder, dogs are required to be on-leash within Redmond City limits and outside of dog parks. The property at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds requires dog owners to be in control of their dogs at all times.
