Patricia Cavaco Kessinger

December 4, 1947 – October 8, 2023

Patricia Cavaco Kessinger of Bend and Eugene died October 8 after an 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Blessed with excellent medical care, loving support from family and friends, and her strong positive attitude, she felt much better than expected during most of this period and was able to embrace the time she had left with many trips and adventures. Pat was born December 4, 1947 in Honolulu to Patrick and Frances (Skip) Cavaco. She is survived by her sister, Cathy Peloso (Tony) of Honolulu, daughter Laura Kessinger of Bend/Eugene, son Andy Kessinger of Wuppertal, Germany, and grandchildren West Kessinger (Mikayla) of Lapine, Jackson McMuldren of Haiku, Maui, Stella McMuldren of Bend/Eugene, and Marlene and Josefine Winter of Wuppertal. Pat will be remembered for her kindness, many talents, dedication to her family and friends, and ability to make the best of the most difficult situations, right up to the very end. Pat is loved and will be missed greatly. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 Sunday, October 22 at First Congregational Church in Eugene.
