- More than 50 people packed the offices of the Redmond Spokesman Sept. 15 to celebrate the Redmond Chamber of Commerce's weekly coffee clatter event.
Almost 100 people came to the Spokesman on Sept. 15 to chat about the Redmond community and their respective businesses — and get their day started with a big dose of caffeinated beverages.
The Redmond Chamber of Commerce coffee clatter crew routinely adds all kinds of fun to Friday mornings. And we got to celebrate our year anniversary of our downtown newsroom.
Our thanks to the crew at Christie’s Kitchen for providing vittles for the occasion, and the crew at Junction Roastery for getting us some coffee by the gallon. And thanks to all who came out and supported us and local journalism. We appreciate it.
Last weekend I took a raft down the Lower Deschutes River. We saw dozens, if not hundreds, of salmon and steelhead leaping up through the air. Good news for anglers: It’s the best fish numbers ODFW has seen in a couple years.
Here’s a new thing in The Spokesman: A way to celebrate and memorialize our furry subscribers. For some, when they lose a pet, it feels no different than losing any other member of the family. That’s why we are adding pet memorials to our paper. Small pet-bituaries are available for $25 in black and white, all the way to extra large and in color for $100. To submit a pet memorial or get additional information, email hmckinney@redmondspokesman.com.
Please consider purchasing an annual subscription to the Spokesman — either for digital access or home print delivery. Call 541-923-1370 or go to redmondspokesman.com and we’ll get you signed up at an affordable price. That’s the best way to support our work and stay informed about your community.
