The Venardos Circus, a traveling, animal-free, Broadway-style spectacle, will perform for one more weekend at the Deschutes County Expo Center in Redmond.

Originating with a modest cast of six artists in a Broadway-inspired circus musical, the Venardos Circus has evolved into a living embodiment of dreams realized. According to Kevin Venardos, former Ringling Bros. ringmaster, this circus has reimagined an American tradition for a new generation, spreading joy to audiences far and wide.

After spending several months in Redmond during the initial COVID lockdowns, the Venardos Circus has returned every year since to put on a spectacular two-week long set of performances.

Kevin Venardos said the region holds a special place in their hearts, having shared countless moments and hosted livestreams in 2020.

“We live to be on the road, expressing our creativity and bringing joy to families across the country,” Venardos said. “We can’t wait to get back to Redmond.”

Beneath their iconic custom-made big top, an enchanting red-and-white striped tent that can accommodate up to 300 spectators, the Venardos Circus invites you on a captivating journey through time.

They are set to perform at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday. The main event itself lasts approximately 90 minutes, with a brief intermission to maintain the excitement.

As you await the main event, you can treat yourself to classic circus indulgences like freshly popped popcorn, fluffy cotton candy, all-natural pink lemonade, savory nachos, hot dogs and an assortment of packaged candies.

“Guests can expect to be transported back in time to the center ring of a centuries-old tradition, but one that has been reinvented for the next generation,” write Heather Atherton, the circus’s public relations representative.
