This is a letter endorsing Cynthia Claridge, candidate for the Deschutes County Library Board. She has served since 2018 and is seeking re-election.

Cythina has been an engaged Redmond resident for 44 years. She and Dr. Claridge raised their children here and she taught elementary children for 22 years. Cynthia was co-owner of our downtown bookstore for eight years. She has been a CASA volunteer since 2017.

There is a long and rich history of community engagement including the Chamber of Commerce, serving on Redmond Library Board prior to county board, volunteering with the street kitchen to Redmond’s houseless.

Cynthia is fully committed to our community. She is a strong advocate for literacy, access to a library with a rich diversity of materials and providing a professional and well-organized service to all.
