The beds, twin mattresses, and a set of sheets will be donated to families whose children are sleeping on the floor or sharing beds with their siblings.

TDS Broadband donated the twin mattresses and some volunteer labor. The expo center allowed the use of its space for the event for free and Home Depot donated the lumber needed. Overall, $30,000 in materials and services were donated to the cause.

Luke Mickelson founded Sleep in Heavenly Peace 10 years ago, and has also begun a disaster relief program with beds ready to send to areas hit by a disaster such as a fire or flood. The organization said it recently delivered its first beds to families on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.
