I have a friend named Trevor Johnson who is running for Redmond city council next year. I’m going to vote for him and I hope you do as well.

This year Johnson is putting on a Pride Festival. This will take place this year in Centennial Park in downtown Redmond on July 15.

This festival will take place every summer in Redmond. Johnson will spend the autumn working on next year’s festival and Redmond’s annual pride parade. The parade will end up at the festival in Centennial Park or Dry Canyon.

This event is open to everyone and everybody is invited. The Redmond Pride Festival will have a DJ, emcee, live music and shows, speakers, games, food, booths and art. Everyone is welcome to join us. This event is free. There will be an afterparty nearby, but the location has not yet been decided.

Johnson is encouraging everyone to participate and volunteer to be a part of the process of creating this event. Next year it will be Central Oregon’s first and only pride parade. The parade and festival are being put on to support equality, gay rights, women’s rights, freedom, environmentalism, global rights and many other good causes. What Johnson hopes to accomplish by the end of this year is to have the parade totally set up and green-lighted for next year.

Johnson will make a great Redmond city councilor in January 2025 and he has been doing a great job setting up this festival and next year’s parade by enlisting and recruiting lots of people and organizations within the community to help put this event on. He wants to thank everyone who have already pledged their support.

I have been to the Oregon Country Fair and I hope this thing evolves in that direction because thats a great time and its time that Central Oregon had its own thing like that. He has been running this whole show for many months and he has gotten loads accomplished so far. It’s almost like the festival is setting itself up.
