Finally, more than 10 days after the midterm election, we have some clarity.
Though it has not yet been certified, we now know that Ed Fitch will be the next mayor of Redmond, the parks district passed a bond to build a recreation center and Emerson Levy
Some of the coverage you may have missed includes our work on Veterans Day.
Reporter George Plaven visited the Central Oregon Veterans Ranch in Redmond and wrote a touching profile of folks who have found respite there. Reporter Nick Rosenberger spent Veterans Day taking photos and chatting with folks along the parade route. He also visited a resource fair for veterans at General Duffy’s. If you have a veteran in your life, pass that story on to them so they get the assistance they are entitled to.
We’ve got loads of stuff prepared for Thanksgiving, too. That includes a visit to the Redmond Smokehouse, which dates back to 1940 and sells some of the freshest turkeys around. We also chatted with the good folks at NeighborImpact, which helps those in need have a fun and filling

One fun feature we’re trying out is a new monthly segment called “All Up in Your Business.” It’s written by Spokesman employee Harrison McKinney. For our first installment, he climbed into a giant egg, which beamed lights and sounds deep into his psyche. McKinney will venture to all different types of businesses around Redmond, trying out their wares and their services.
