About the Cart: Sally’s Wok is an Asian fusion food cart. Liu was born in Inner Mongolia, a region of China. She says that she serves the kinds of foods that people like to cook at home. Liu said she tries to get a lot of veggies into her food and all of the recipes are her own. The food is fresh and much of the menu options are healthy.

Your first order should be: Liu says that her fried rice or noodles are the best. She usually will ask customers if they are a noodle person or a rice person. Liu says that a customer can go with stir-fried rice or stir-fried noodles depending on their style, but in winter she brings out her soups which are customer favorites.

Fun fact: Liu is originally from Inner Mongolia. She moved to the U.S. in 2000. In 2001 while working at a Chinese restaurant she met a couple who took her in and helped her. Liu says that she has a deep gratitude towards Americans, and says that here in the U.S. she has learned about love and her attitude has changed towards humans. “At certain point in your life you have hard time and people help you,” she said. The cart has also helped change her attitude. Liu says she puts her heart into it — and says that it is fun for her.
