Judith Rose O’Malley Newport

March 26, 1940 – August 18, 2021

Judy was born in Roseburg, the third child of Charles and Euleta O’Malley. After moving to Portland Judy attended Holy Redeemer through 8th grade and St. Mary’s Academy graduating in 1958. Judy was a Junior Rose Festival princess, a runner up to Miss Portland (classical piano talent), and Miss Oregon Roller Skate Queen. Judy was a fashion model in the 1950’s through 1970’s. She loved decorating department store windows in Portland. She was active in St. Thomas Catholic Parish in Redmond where she assisted with decorating for special feast days and gardening flower beds. Judy died of COVID related illness. She will be greatly missed by family who knows she is now with the Lord in Heaven.

Judy is survived by her Husband LeRoy, children Molly, Amy, Peter, and Kate, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held off waiting for family schedules and COVID pandemic to subside. Services will be at the St. Thomas Parish in Redmond on Saturday February 26, 2022. Rosary 10:30, Mass 11:00, and Life Celebration Noon with light lunch.
