Spokesman app now available — The Redmond Spokesman e-edition is now available on iPhones and iPads. You can read this week’s paper or back issues by downloading the app from the App Store. An Android app is in the works. You can also read the e-edition, featuring each week’s entire paper, at our website, RedmondSpokesman.com.

New physical therapist at Rebound — Physical therapist Kaity Post has joined Rebound Physical Therapy in Redmond. Post, who has a doctorate in physical therapy from University of Florida, treats a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses, and has a special interest in athletic injuries and sports medicine, the spine and sacroiliac joint dysfunction and various other extremity dysfunctions. She uses manual therapy, core stabilization and functional strengthening, as well as activity-specific exercise in treatment.

Central Electric issues $2.2 million in capital credits — Central Electric Cooperative will be issuing capital credit checks to more than 12,000 current and former members who purchased power in 1997 and 1998. The checks average $127 per member and the amount is based on the amount of electricity they purchased in those years. The cooperative will mail the checks to members with current address on file. Bend-Redmond Habitat receives $5,000 grant — The Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity received a $5,000 grant from the Ann J. & William Swindells Fund, which is managed by the Oregon Community Foundation, according to a press release. “We are delighted to receive the unsolicited funds from the Ann J. & William Swindells Fund. Legacy gifts such as this allows Habitat to continue to build a foundation on which to serve families for generations to come with affordable home ownership. Thank you, Oregon Community Foundation, for believing in our organization and ability to use the funds wisely,” said Robin Cooper Engle, Director of Development, in the press release. Maragas Winery holds Christmas Eve open house — Maragas Winery, just north of the Terrebonne High Bridge on Hwy 97, will hold an old fashioned open house 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Christmas Eve. The event includes carols sung by Samantha Maragas, complimentary mulled wine made from 2018 vintage Maragas wine and spiced popcorn.
