After posting two clean sheets, former Ridgeview goalkeeper Alex Nadermann, now with Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men’s soccer defensive player of the week.
Nadermann, a sophomore, made two saves in goal in each of two shutout victories during a California road trip. The Nighthawks won both games by 2-0 scores — at Notre Dame de Namur Sept. 19 and at Dominican University on Sept. 21.
With three victories this young season, the Nighthawks (3-2 overall) have already matched their win total from 2018, when they went 3-14-1.
Nadermann was named Intermountain Conference player of the year for Ridgeview his senior season in 2017.
