Anniversary: Ray and Mary Halter

Ray and Mary Halter, of Crooked River Ranch, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with their family and friends at their home.

The couple were married Sept. 5, 1964, at St. Mary’s Church in Mt. Angel with the reception taking place at their parents house. They have three children, Tami Albrecht (and John), of Bend, Raechal, of St. Helens, and Jerry (and Sherri), of Glide; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Halter is a retired school principal from Rural Dell Elementary and Maple Grove Elementary schools in Molalla. An outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Mrs. Halter is a retired teacher from Molalla Middle School. She is very involved in gardening and helping at her church wherever needed.

They both enjoy spending time with their family and outside in their garden.

They have lived in Central Oregon 13 years after moving from their small farm in Aurora where they spent 30 years.
