Former Ridgeview star wins in goal: After giving up two goals within 24 seconds in the 61st minute, former Ridgeview goalkeeper Alex Nadermann regrouped to lead Northwest Nazarene to a 3-2 mens’ soccer victory against Biola on Sept. 7. Nadermann made eight saves in the match, helping the Nighthawks rebound from a 4-0 loss against Cal State Los Angeles in their Sept. 5 season opener. Nadermann had two saves in that match.

Conley finishes 22nd at cross country meet: Former Redmond High cross country star Treyson Conley finished 22nd of 49 runners overall at the Sept. 6 College of Southern Idaho XC Classic in Twin Falls. The Northwest Nazarene sophomore’s time of 23 minutes, 50.8 seconds was third of seven runners for the NCAA Division II Nighthawks, who finished third of four teams at the meet. Division I Weber State was first.

Paint Night: The Redmond Area Park and Recreation District is offering paint nights one day per week at both its Activity Center and the Redmond Senior Center. The Activity Center classes start Sept. 20, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., while the Senior Center classes start Sept. 17, from 4-6 p.m. Both classes cost $40 per person or $65 per couple.
