A Terrebonne man was arrested May 30 after allegedly bringing drugs to meet who he thought was a 17-year-old girl, according to a Bend Police news release.
Thomas L. Daly, 56, allegedly asked to meet the fictitious teen, who was actually a social media profile created by police, police said. Daly allegedly wanted to have intercourse with the “teen,” knowing she was only 17, police said. Police said Daly traveled to Bend to meet her, bringing methamphetamine, marijuana, disguises and gifts for the “teen.”
Detectives found Daly waiting in his vehicle at Timbers East bar in Bend and took him into custody without incident, police said. Daly was taken to Deschutes County jail and faces two charges each of luring a minor for sexual contact and first-degree online corruption of a minor, as well as single charges of felony meth possession and unlawful delivery of marijuana and a misdemeanor driving with a suspended license charge, police said.
