The Redmond Library is displaying the art exhibition, “A Collaboration” through December. The exhibit features pieces by Central Oregon residents Grace Grinnell and Linda Barker,
The exhibit blends the unique styles and media of each artist, said a news release from the library.
Grinnell studied sculpture at the Brooklyn Museum and the Pratt Institute in New York and now works primarily with fiber, focusing on color and texture. Her techniques include pleating, burning, stenciling, painting, dyeing, bleaching, and stitching.
Barker is an eclectic self-taught mixed-media artist.
She enjoys creating unique jewelry and mixed-media pieces using scrap metal and found or repurposed materials, which reflects her value of protecting the environment.
In addition to Grinnell and Barker’s pieces, the library is showing watercolors and felted, wearable art by Linda Swindle and fused glass pieces by Katie Harris of Turtle Arts.
