The new City Hall
Redmond City Hall resides in one of the city’s historical landmarks. The Evergreen building, or city hall building, was built in 1921 and originally housed the Redmond Union High School, the city’s first. It also was home to Redmond Junior High School and Evergreen elementary before being abandoned for several years and then renovated to become city hall. Another building, the old gymnasium, is on the property and is awaiting renovation by the city once funding becomes available; it is seen as a potential community use space. Services available at city hall include Community Development, Finance, City Management, Human Resources, Information Technology and Utility Billing. The City Council Chambers are also located here as well as Deschutes County’s Justice Court and Veterans’ Services office and Redmond Economic Development Incorporated.
