The Redmond Little League All-Stars made a strong run through the Oregon state majors (12 and under) baseball tournament. Redmond opened with a 23-1 victory July 21 against SE Portland, then knocked off Baker City 8-0 July 22. Redmond lost a close on 3-2 against Murrayhill July 24. Redmond still had a chance to reach the championship game, but fell 10-0 July 25 against Del Norte (Calif.). According to the league’s Facebook page, none of the current players were born the last time Redmond made it that far at state.
