Four people sustained minor injuries in an alleged July 4 fight over a marijuana sale at American Legion Park, according to a Redmond Police news release.

The event highlighted a busy holiday for officers, police said.

Sabastian Dubar, 21, of the Redmond area, and Dominica Wallace, 20, of Redmond were arrested and each face a misdemeanor unlawful marijuana delivery charge, while an unnamed 17-year-old male received a minor-in-possession of marijuana citation, police said.

Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a robbery at 2:55 p.m. at the park after initial reports that a knife was brandished, a claim that was not confirmed, police said. Police were told that two 17 year olds confronted Dubar and Wallace over being sold allegedly poor quality marijuana, police said. Police said a fight started in which all four people sustained minor injuries consistent with a fight.

In the 24-hour period starting 6 a.m. July 4, Redmond Police said they responded to 158 incidents, with illegal fireworks complaints accounting for 50 of those. Police said a tree was burned at John Tuck Elementary because of fireworks. Another incident involved an officer seeing a man light illegal fireworks in front of him and, ultimately arresting the man because of an alleged probation violation, police said.
