Esther (Ojala) Shrier

Esther was born in Vancouver, WA, to Rev Andrew and Alina Ojala. She graduated High School in 1937, and married Kenneth Shrier in 1942, in Ilwaco, WA. They lived in Cannon Beach and Tillamook, where they had a logging business. In 1958, they went to Terrebonne, where they had a ranch; then in 1966, they retired and moved to Redmond. In 2013, Esther moved to Spokane, WA, to be closer to her family. She belonged to Redmond Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the hospital gift shop for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, traveling, antiques, and visiting with friends and family.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; her parents, four sisters and one brother. Survivors include a son, Scott, his wife, Sally; grandson, Brian, his wife, Kristin and their son, Cole; granddaughter, Andrea Sheffler, her husband, Joshua and their son, Lex; her brother, John Ojala and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bariel was held in The Redmond Cemetery.
