Before the jolly elf and his reindeer arrive in Central Oregon, they need to know what kids want. The Spokesman’s annual Letters to Santa allows him to get a glimpse of what children in Redmond schools are wishing for. Here are some of the letters we received in 2017:

Dear Santa, I hope you are on time to get around the world. I hope you get in to see all of the kids asleep. I would like an elf on the self my brother would like a Drone My mommy would like Dark chocolate. How is Dancer is he still dancing? Are all of your other reindeer feeling okay? I also would like a fureal tiger, a bunch of stuffed animals such as tigers, lions wolfs, catsy horses, Dogs such as Golden retrevers. I hope you have a safe trip around the world. Is my brother on the nottie list?

— Your friend Josephine, 2nd grade, Tom McCall Elementary

Dear santa, This year I was a pretty good student and kid. I have to admit I haven’t been the best kid ever. But i did help my parent´s company set up there christmas party. Which took so much evert and time but it got set up.

But still I would really want a dominic toretto´s fast & furious remote controlled ice charger. If I did get this I could let my brother go outside and give him the charger and see if it can go race around the snow. Plus it will give him something to do when we are at home.

— From, Andy, 4th grade, Vern Patrick Elementary

Dear Santa, How have you been? I have been helping around the house a lot! I have helped my mom take care of my brother around the house. How are your reindeer? Would they like carrots or appels this year?

Dear santa, Are you real because i don’t know you and i never saw you.i know that you saw me do some things that you know but i want to ask three things to give me for christmas an american girl doll, a barbie house and shopkins.

Dear SANTA, I have been good because I help my mom with my baby sister. I clean my room. I finished my homework almost every week when I get my homework each week.

For Christmas I want a lego set and a new mountain bike. I would ride my mountain bike almost everyday. I collect legos so I would build it and then put it on my shelf so I could look at it and play with it (my shelf is very organized). I would also like tons of candy canes!

— From, Erick, 4th grade, Vern Patrick Elementary

Dear Santa, Make sure to bundle up on your way out of the Northpole. I wish for a baby dog that looks like a pom pom. I ask for this one thing before I ask for what I want and that is for a happy family.

— Love, Anabella, 2nd grade, Tom McCall Elementary

Dear Santa, I have been good this year maybe just a little BAD but I promise I have been more good then BAD. I am really nice if you get to know me better. Trust me santa. I believe in you and I don’t care if others don’t. you are real.

This year santa can I please have a computer it is what I have been wanting for a long long time. also a pet kitten there really fluffy and cute I will take very good care of it I will name it cookie. Also a model airplane. and that’s all I want for christmas.

— Your favorite, Nevaeh, 4th grade, Vern Patrick Elementary

Dear, santa I think I have been a pretty good person this year. I am not always good but I think I deserve presents this year. I also try to be kind but sometimes things come out very mean, especially to my little brother he is SO annoying.

The only thing I want from you is a nintendo switch because they are so fun. And also I have also already told my mom that I want most of the that I want and I don’t want to get two of something. If I had a nintendo switch I could play with my friends. And also there is a game called pokken tournament deluxe that is only on nintendo switch and if I had a switch I could get it.

— From,Danner, 4th grade, Vern Patrick Elementary

Dear santa, I have been a pretty good this year as student and child. I admit i’m not always perfect, but I do ask for your forgiveness I know I’ve done something this year. I hope you know that I ALWAYS try to be patient and as kind as humanly possible. I have a eight years old little sister who can alway be a payne in the butt, but I love her to death. She always takes my stuff and I do get mad but I try to be patient with her and not flip my lid or go nutts. As amader a fact did you know that on December 1st I became a self manager, I am the first self manager of my class and of all the fourth grade classes.

So this year for christmas, I would like a stitch ipod 5 case. I need this because I always drop my ipod and im trying to keep it for as long as possible so it’s less money for my mom to get me a new one. The reason I want a stitch one is because stitch is my favorite Disney character. I love his cheesy grin.

— Love your true believer Jazmyne, 4th grade, Vern Patrick Elementary

Dear santa clause , Let’s get down to business, santa . you now i have been a good girl this year. Ya and i am a selfmaniger and a jouer coach , well as i am writing this i am in the process of becoming both of those so. I am not lying promus. And i get positive points on dojo all the time and don’t always get marked down. Ok i am not perfect , ha what am i saying i am. And you never give me what i want waaaa how mean of you have no christmas spirit . haha just kidding don’t put me on the naughty list, please. I didn’t mean to say that, i have bean good this year ok.

Ok so you know how mom keeps telling me to where socks or slippers. I have an idea to fix that problem. My idea is for you to give me both slippers and fluffy socks it is very important that they are fluffy. You have to give me both because if the fluffy socks are dirty i will now where thum and that is when the slippers will come into play, another reason i want both is because I love thum both the same.

— From kylee, 4th grade, Vern Patrick Elementary
