Redmond and Ridgeview both ended up represented on Class 5A Special District 1 all-league football teams, despite disappointing seasons.
The Panthers (1-6 SD1, 1-8 overall) had one player selected first-team all-league on both sides of the ball. Senior Jack Taylor was selected at running back and senior Colton Mortenson was picked at defensive back.
While Ridgeview (1-6, 1-8) didn’t have any first-team selections, junior offensive guard Derek Mann, senior running back Conner Benz, senior defensive lineman Tristyn Brower and senior defensive back Micah Cupp were all named second-team all-IMC.
Senior linebacker John Crivellone was Redmond’s lone second-team selection.
Also for Ridgeview, junior offensive tackle Tyler Bartlett, junior linebacker Noah Brown and senior kicker Nick Sperber were honorable mention selections.
Honorable mention picks for Redmond were junior offensive guard Dillon Young, senior defensive lineman John Lawrence and senior defensive back Tyson Hester, as well as Henry Chambers at defensive back and Colt Folston at linebacker.
