Bring your own boat kayaking: Kayak enthusiasts can practice at the Cascade Swim Center pool from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $5.
Adaptive swim lessons: For all ages. Instruction staff are trained in adaptive aquatics and instruction techniques to assist swimmers with developmental disabilities. Classes are 5:30-6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Nov. 20-Dec. 8, at Cascade Swim Center. The cost is $32. Redmond grad named to all-academic team: Former Redmond High runner MaKenna Conley was one of four members of the Northwest Nazarene University women’s cross country team named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-academic team last week. The junior nursing major had a 3.75 grade-point average at the Nampa, Idaho, school. Conley is no stranger to academic success, being named Redmond’s valedictorian in 2015.
