Little sport stars: For ages 4 to 5. The class is designed to give kids a rewarding first look at sports. Fun is the No. 1 goal, while kids learn about running bases, scoring a goal and teamwork. Classes are from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Thursdays from Sept. 14-28, at the Redmond Area Park and Recreation District Activity Center. The cost is $16. Swim lessons: Cascade Swim Center is offering a variety of swim lessons for ages 6 months to adults in September and October. Call 541-548-7275 or visit raprd.org for more information.

Adaptive Swim Lessons: All ages. RAPRD offers adaptive swim lessons for swimmers with disabilities. Instruction staff are trained in adaptive aquatics and instruction techniques for patrons with development disabilities. Junior Eels: For ages 6 and up. The Junior Eels Competition track is for swim lesson participants with a goal of joining the Redmond Athletic Club Eels, the year-round USA swim team for ages 8 to 18. It is designed as a fun but rigorous initiation to the world of competitive swimming. Practice is Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 19-Oct. 19 at Cascade Swim Center. The cost is $40.
