No one was hurt when a 2015 Mercedes Sprinter van burst into flames just after noon Aug. 10 in the parking lot of the Redmond Coastal Farm & Ranch store on S. U.S. Highway 97. The store credits some of its associates for using fire extinguishers to keep the blaze under control before firefighters arrived. Redmond Fire and Rescue said firefighters found multiple tire explosions and a fuel tank rupture when they arrived. The cause is still under investigation. If you have newsworthy photos, please send them to news@redmondspokesman.com.
