Male athlete of the week

Jesse Delamarter, Central Christian basketball — Delamarter scored 18 points, including three 3-pointers, in the Tigers’ 51-32 victory against Butte Falls on Feb. 4. It was Central Christian’s second victory of the season.

Female athlete of the week

Loryn Trail, Redmond swimming — Trail returned for her first meet after a knee injury and won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke Feb. 2 against Ridgeview.

Game of the week

Swimming, R-Town Rivalry — Redmond swept the Feb. 2 rivalry dual at Cascade Swim Center. The boys defeated Ridgeview 91-37, while the Redmond girls won 90-41.

What to watch for

District championships — Redmond and Ridgeview will try to send athletes to state Friday and Saturday at the Intermountain Conference swim meet in Bend and the district wrestling tournament in Hermiston.
