Letters to Santa is a Spokesman tradition of printing local school children’s letters to Santa and Christmas art. Here is a small selection of the letters received this year:
Dear Santa, For Christmas I want things for my dog. If you could do anything for someone, for me, I want my friend Kylan to have a great Christmas. And for two of my relatives. They are suffering from different kind of illness. I want them to have a great Christmas. Merry Christmas.

Dear Santa, I hope I can have a Halo set. I might bake chocolate cookies or are you allergic? When will I get an elf on the shelf? Do you have cheetahs in the North Pole? Do you know how to knit?
Love, Dillon

Dear Santa, I want a electric tooth brush and a flat screen TV for my room! Also I want lots of pokemon cards and hot cheetos! The reason you should get me these things is because I’m a pretty good kid and pretty good in school too! Another reason is I just really want those stuff, thank you very much!

Dear Santa, How is Rudolph? I hope he is not sick. What are the reindeer’s names and are they boys or girls? Did you know that Berry is our elf and he is really polite!!!

Dear Santa, What has been keeping you so busy in the North Pole. I have been trying to be a very good girl. What do you do when its not this season? Please tell me you put me on the good girl list, and my brother too. I love him so, so much. Do you ever leave your castle besides to see kids and let them tell you what they want for Christmas? Also to deliver presents? Did you go to how to be an awesome Santa Claus school? Do you have friends besides your elfs. What I want for Christmas is those rolly hedgehogs.
Sincerely your friend, Annalycia

Dear Santa, I know I’ve been bad but I know the Christmas Spirit. I know I will always get one present. I don’t need presents because I have love.

Dear Santa, I want a phone, hover board, and whatever you want. Some reason you should do this for me are that I have done random acts of kindness for the last 2 weeks. I have had a good behavior to my teacher, mom, dad, family, and friends. I have been a patient student. I want a phone because then I can take it all over the place not like my tablet. I want to take my hover board to school. Santa I hope you are doping well and I hope you can get me these things.

Dear Santa,
I’ve been wondering does you sled really run on Christmas Spirit? I know the sleds in my world aren’t. How tall are elfs? Do Christmas ornaments really grow on trees in the North Pole?
Sincerely, Briar

Dear Santa, I want a new phone and a new blanket for Christmas. Some reasons you should do this for me are, I am nice to my brother and sisters. I need anew phone because mine is too small. I’ve been a good student at Vern Patrick. Yesterday I got a letter from you and I think I deserve a new phone. I want a new blanket because I have blankets I don’t have a lot.

Dear Santa, I want Shopkins, Monster High stuff, a new iPod and a elf on the shelf. Some reasons you should do this for me are: 1. I have been getting good grades and I should get a elf on the shelf. My other three reasons are: 3. I been nice to my friends. 4. And I been patient with the other students. 5. Honestly, I was doing bad but I’m getting better at stuff. Conclusion! A lot of people don’t believe you are real but I do. Hopefully you know that. I can’t wait until Christmas morning.
From, Corinne

Dear Santa, For Christmas I want the whole entire world to have a great Christmas and get a lot of presents and have a lot of fun on Christmas, Christmas eve, and the rest of the year.

Dear Santa, I want a trampoline and a Hatchimal for Christmas! Some reasons you should do this for me are one is that I work really hard at school and at home. Two is whenever I want to jump on a trampoline I can’t, and my friend’s mom wouldn’t let me come over, and my neighbor’s trampoline is broken. Santa, I know I am only sometimes nice to my sister, But I can work on being better. I have also taken really good care of my pets, and they take a lot of work (mostly my rabbits). Even though Hatchimals are a lot of money, I would play with it all the time and I would never put it in a bucket and not play with it. I know I’m nice to all my friends even though I know I am a little bossy, but I can make up for it. One last thing is that I’ve been wanting these things for a long time and I definitely want a horse even thought I may not get one, That’s okay. Santa, I know that I may not be very nice to my sister, but I can do better. So please, if you can, get me these things for Christmas!

Dear Santa, I would like 5 million lumps of coal so I can get all of the diamonds and give some to the poor people. I want to give a pair of earrings for Christmas also I want a kitten, a girl kitten.
Sincerely, Isaiah

Dear Santa, I would like a carousel horse, a tortoise, and a gray or turquoise chromebook. I would like a carousel horse because my grandma and grandpa gave me one for my 7th birthday and I’ve been looking for tone ever since. I also want one because they have a horse on them and horses are my absolute favorite. Another thing I would like is a tortoise because my mom wants a class pet, but she would like a tortoise and I would like a tortoise so she thought the tortoise could be mine but her class pet. I also want one because I would name him Sheldon. That kind of tells you that I would get a boy. I would get a boy because they get smaller than the girls. I know, crazy, but it is true. I would also like a gray or turquoise chromebook because I could do me work at home and finish writing my book. The book is called Mr. Meany and the Mouse, but you didn’t hear that from me. I would also Like it because I love moth and I would do math a whole bunch of times.
Sincerely, Ellie

Dear Santa, How are you doing this year? I have missed Christmas and you for a whole year. I hope I can get more snow here so I can have more fun and I can make a slope for sliding down it with my sled. I hope I can basically get everything on my list. I would like a picture of your reindeer and you.
