Westley Carter, Ridgeview soccer — Carter had two goals in the Ravens’ 5-2 victory Oct. 29 against Parkrose, helping Ridgeview to the playoffs.

Female athlete of the week

Joannah Bendele, Redmond water polo — Bendele scored a goal against an all-boys Ridgeview team Oct. 28. The Ravens still won 14-7.

Game of the week

Boys soccer, Ridgeview 5, Parkrose 2 — After finishing second in league play, the Ravens earned a spot in the Class 5A playoffs with their Oct. 29 victory.

What to watch for

Football, Redmond at Silverton, 7 p.m. Friday — The Foxes defeated Redmond 41-35 in the second game of the season, but the Panthers have been red-hot in recent weeks.
