Silver & Fit: The RAPRD Activity Center is partnering with Silver & Fit for fitness classes, lap swimming and water walking. The classes are low or no cost for eligible members and are designed to help older adults achieve better health through regular exercise and health education. Swim lessons: Cascade Swim Center is offering a variety of swim lessons for ages 6 months to adults in October and November. Call 541-548-7275 or visit raprd.org for more information.

Junior Eels: The Junior Eels Competition track is for swim lesson participants of ages 6 and up with a goal of joining the Redmond Athletic Club Eels, the year-round USA swim team for ages 8 to 18. It is designed as a fun but rigorous initiation to the world of competitive swimming. Practice is 6-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 22 at Cascade Swim Center. The cost is $40. Baseball dinner: The second “For the Love of the Game” Tri-Tip Dinner, benefiting the Ridgeview baseball program, is scheduled for Saturday at the South Sister Building at the Deschutes County fairgrounds. Tickets for the event are $40 with table sponsorships $400. Tickets for a drawing are also being sold for $10 each.
