Male athlete of the week
Jack Taylor, Redmond football — Taylor ran for 227 yards and scored four touchdowns in the Panther’s near-upset of No. 1 Summit on Sept. 14.
Female athlete of the week
Hailey Williamson, Ridgeview soccer — Williamson scored a goal in the Ravens 2-1 victory against Mountain View on Oct. 11.
Game of the week
Boys soccer, Ridgeview 2, Bend 2 — The Ravens rallied from a two-goal deficit to secure the Oct. 13 draw on Jacob Biever’s goal. They sat in second place in IMC play going into their Oct. 18 game against Summit, after the Spokesman’s deadline.
What to watch for
Football, Hermiston at Redmond — The Panthers have another big home game at 7 p.m. Friday. They have a chance to pull into a second-place tie in league play with a victory against the Bulldogs.
