Male athlete of the week

Sam Stevens, Central Christian soccer — Stevens had two goals and an assist in the Tigers’ 3-2 Sept. 29 victory against Oregon School for the Deaf.

Female athlete of the week

McKenzie Bartlett, Ridgeview volleyball — Bartlett had 53 kills to lead the Ravens to a second-place finish in the Hood River Valley Tournament.

Game of the week

Boys soccer, Central Christian 3, Oregon School for the Deaf 2 — The victory was the first for the Tigers since 2014. Central Christian scored as many goals as it had in its previous five matches combined. Sam Stevens had two goals and an assist, Mason Delamarter had a goal and an assist and Josh Bruce had an assist.

What to watch for

Cross-country — Redmond and Ridgeview both take part in the Intermountain Conference Preview, which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Juniper Golf Course.
