Male athlete of the week

Colton Mortenson, Redmond football — Mortenson ran for 106 yards, including a 75-yard, first quarter touchdown run, in Redmond’s 56-28 victory against Mountain View. He also picked off an interception defensively.

Female athlete of the week

Kelsey Guyette, Redmond soccer — Guyette scored on an assist from Sarah DeChristopher for the only goal in Redmond’s 1-0 Sept. 22 victory against Pendleton.

Game of the week

Football, Pendleton 29, Ridgeview 25 — The Sept. 23 game featured five lead changes, but Pendleton pulled ahead for good with a touchdown with 1:40 to play.

What to watch for

Ridgeview at Redmond — The crosstown rivalry has a triple header Tuesday, with the Ravens facing the Panthers in boys soccer at 3 p.m., volleyball at 4 and girls soccer at 4:30.

Redmond finished second, 16 points behind first-place Bend, at the Madras Invite at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort. Third-place Whitney Gieschen was Redmond’s top finisher.
