Cascade Lakes Brewing Company

In Redmond since 1994, Cascade Lakes brews five annual beers: Blonde Bombshell (best seller), Paddleboard Porter, Hopsmack IPA, 20-inch Brown and Cyclops IPA. It offers two seasonal brews and six draft specialties. In addition to its 7th Street Brew Pub in Redmond and Cascade Lakes Lodge in Bend, you can find its beer nearly everywhere in Oregon in bottles, on tap, in growlers and at events. Cascade Lakes also distributes in Washington and Idaho, with plans to expand east. (www.cascadeslakes.com)

Smith Rock Brewing

Smith Rock Brewing, a family-run brewery and pub, opened in November 2012. It brews on site in small quantities using Central Oregon hops. In addition to developing a following for its 12 beers, it also offers experimental brews. Each beer’s focus is on balance and hop presence. The beer is available only at the pub. The restaurant features locally grown produce and meats, makes its own buns in-house and is becoming known for its onion rings. (www.smithrockbrewing.com)

Wild Ride Brewing Company

The staff at Wild Ride are constantly working to expand where their beer is available, with goals to distribute throughout the Northwest. (www.wildridebrew.com)

Juniper Brewing

Juniper Brewing opened March 2014 near the fairgrounds, by a duo of friends who go by the names of Scott Lesmeister and Curtis Endicott. They brew primarily after they get off work in the evenings and have kept their distribution local to Central Oregon. They offer a dozen different brews, focusing not so much on making what sells but making what they like, which happens to be both. (www.juniperbrewing.com)

SILVER MOON BREWING

Central Oregon’s fourth-oldest brewery set up camp in Redmond at the end of 2015 with a large-scale brewing outfit. The expansion of production capabilities came after the brewery opened up lanes of distribution in Washington earlier in 2015. The location is a retrofitted 15,000-square-foot building that quadruples the brewery’s annual production to nearly 6,000 barrels. The site will also be the location of Silver Moon’s canning facility. The location in Bend will continue to operate with a focus on specialty beers and maintaining a beer pub atmosphere. The two main beers produced in Redmond are IPA 97 and Chapter 2 Casual Ale.(www.silvermoonbrewing.com)

HomeBrewing

Redmond Craft Brewing is a store in downtown Redmond that offers homebrewing supplies to beer enthusiasts who like to take things into their own hands. From hops to taps, you’ll probably find it here. (www.redmondcraftbrewing.com)
