Male athlete of the week
Ramon Arreola, Redmond soccer — Arreola scored the game-winning goal in Redmond’s 5-4 Sept. 8 victory against Crook County, the first win of the season for the Panthers.
Female athlete of the week
Kim Roberts, Redmond cross country — Roberts finished 10th overall and helped the Redmond girls to a second-place finish Sept. 10 at the Saxon Invite in Salem.
Game of the week
Football, Silverton 41, Redmond 35 — Redmond rallied from 21-0, but came up short on a late fourth-down conversion.
What to watch for
Volleyball — Redmond is scheduled to begin Intermountain Conference play at 6 p.m. Thursday against Bend, while Ridgeview is at defending state champion Summit. Both matches are scheduled for 6 p.m.
