Male athlete of the week
Jacoby McNamara, Redmond track — The senior dominated the Class 5A state meet, finishing first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, as well as leading the 4X100 and 4X400 relay teams to victory.
Female athlete of the week
Hosanna Wilder, Ridgeview track — The senior finished second at the state meet in high jump with a 5-foot-4-inch leap.
Game of the week
Baseball: La Salle 5, Ridgeview 1 — Ridgeview (11-14) took a 1-0 lead in the Class 5A play-in game, but a La Salle comeback ended the Ravens’ season. George Mendazona had a double and scored a run in his final game before moving to Oregon State University next season.
What to watch for
Softball: The Dalles at Ridgeview: The No. 8 Ravens (20-6) play host to the No. 9 Riverhawks (18-9) at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in a first-round playoff game.

Redmond finished third with 57.5 points, while Ridgeview was 12th with 26 points at the state Class 5A meet in Eugene. Hood River Valley won with 70 points.
Girls track

Ridgeview tied for 10th with 19 points in the Class 5A state meet, which was won by Summit, which had 190 points.
Boys golf
May 17-18
Ridgeview’s Isaac Buerger shot 74-75—149 over two days to finish tied for fifth in individual competition at the Class 5A state tournament in Corvallis. His score was 11 shots behind first-place Kevin Geniza of Crescent Valley.
Girls golf
May 17-18
Ridgeview’s Tianna Brown shot 82-86—168 over two days to finish ninth at the Class 5A girls state tournament in Banks. Kiana Oshiro of Crater was first with 142 over two days.
Boys tennis
May 19-20
Ridgeview’s doubles team of Brett Blundell and T.J. Smith reached the quarterfinals at the Class 5A state tournament.
Girls tennis
May 19-20
Ridgeview’s Riley Hanks reached the quarterfinals, while Redmond’s Greta Harris lost in the first round at the Class 5A state tournament.
