The 16-1 April 29 victory over the Storm included two home runs from Ashley Merritt and a 4-for-4 performance at the plate from Natalie Hill. The victory included eight runs in the top of the seventh inning. Pitcher Rachel Collins struck out 13.
Hill added two hits and two RBIs in the Ravens’ 8-0 April 27 victory against Summit. Brook Herrington struck out six and also drove in four runs.
Ridgeview started out the week with a 20-6 victory against Redmond on April 26, breaking open the game with an eight-run third inning. Taytum Stevens hit a two-run home run for Ridgeview, while Taylor Smith had four hits and three RBIs. Kiki Fierstos led Redmond with a two-run home run.
Ridgeview (9-1 IMC, 15-5 overall) had a two-game lead over second-place Mountain View going into its game Tuesday against Bend, which was after the Spokesman’s print deadline. They return to Bend at 4:30 p.m. Friday to attempt to avenge an April 15 loss to Mountain View, the only team to beat Ridgeview in IMC play.
