Lifeguarding: For ages 15 and up. Cascade Swim Center is offering the classes that will certify participants in areas including lifeguarding, CPR and first aid. They combine lectures, demonstrations and video with hands-on training. Participants must be strong swimmers who can swim at least 300 meters without stopping. Youth/adult swim lessons: For ages 12 and up. The classes help swimmers build confidence and learn to swim full laps. It is for people unable to swim one pool length. Classes are from 6:05-6:35 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 5 through April 14 at Cascade Swim Center. Cost is $40. Sign up by calling 541-548-7275 or visiting raprd.org.
Youth introduction to archery: For ages 8-13. Class includes lessons on range safety, proper shooting technique and equipment basics. Taught by a certified USA Archery coach. Junior Eels: For ages 6 and up. The Junior Eels Competition track is for swim lesson participants with a goal of joining the Redmond Athletic Club Eels, the year-round USA swim team for ages 8-18. It is designed as a fun but rigorous initiation to the world of competitive swimming. Practice is 5:30-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 15 through April 4 at Cascade Swim Center.
