Redmond’s For The Love of Running 5K held its inaugural race Feb. 14 at Juniper Golf Course. The Valentine’s Day event is part of a series of nongolf-related events this year to be held at the golf course as part of the city of Redmond parks department’s community outreach utilizing the municipality-owned golf course.

More than 70 people participated in the race. Proceeds go to the Ridgeview High School track team, which will host the district track meet this year. Results from the race are available online at http://bit.ly/1XvZuGq. The plan is to hold the race again next year.
